Short Code Language
Short Code Language was one of the first high-level programming languages, developed in the 1940s to facilitate programming on computers of that era. Unlike assembly language, Short Code allowed programmers to write instructions in a simpler syntax, although it still required manual conversion to machine code. Although it is now obsolete, it was a precursor in the evolution of modern programming languages and helped establish the foundations for software development automation.
