Cross-Selling and Up-Selling

Cross-selling and up-selling are two key strategies in tech sales. Cross-selling consists of offering complementary products to those the customer has already purchased, such as when a company acquires management software and is offered a CRM integration. Up-selling, on the other hand, seeks to have the customer move to a superior version of the product, such as when Spotify suggests switching from the free version to Premium. Both tactics increase the average ticket and improve retention.
