Mid-Level Telecommunications Technician

Nava is looking for a Mid-Level Telecommunications Technician to work with telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling, fiber optics, and technical support in critical environments.

In this position, you will have the challenge of performing and technically guiding field activities, contributing to the quality and continuity of data, voice, IP telephony, CCTV, and access control infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technical standards, client procedures, and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Performing technical structured cabling activities for UTP/FTP and fiber optics, including cable pulling, termination, and fusion splicing, as well as working with racks, DIOs, and patch panels.

• Certifying network points, ensuring compliance with TIA/EIA and NBR standards, and monitoring physical installations performed by third parties.

• Working on IP telephony infrastructure, data and voice systems, CCTV, and access control, supporting operational tests, maintenance windows, and preventive actions to avoid operational failures.

• Technically guiding field activities, validating proposed solutions, and supporting teams on operational procedures, authorization workflows, and communication in critical environments.

• Supporting relevant incidents, maintaining clear, objective, and timely technical communication, and reporting risks, impacts, and actions to management.

• Updating technical documentation, diagrams, and as-builts, recording interventions and maintenance, and supporting the preparation of technical reports.

• Ensuring compliance with client standards and procedures, information security and access policies, as well as proper use of PPE and tools.

Requirements

For this opportunity, it is important that you have:

• Completed technical education in IT, Telecommunications, or related fields, combined with experience in cabling projects.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.

• Experience with UTP, FTP, and fiber optic cabling, including cable pulling, termination, and fiber optic fusion splicing.

• Knowledge of data networking fundamentals, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, and Wireless.

• Experience certifying network points using Fluke equipment for copper, optical, and OTDR.

• Knowledge of rack organization, DIOs, and patch panels, physical network infrastructure, and structured cabling, including Furukawa, Commscope, Panduit, and Siemon.

• Ability to read and interpret structured cabling designs and knowledge of dry infrastructure, including cable trays, cable ladders, conduits, raceways, and similar.

• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical cabling, AC and DC.

• Knowledge of IP telephony, CCTV, access control, and automation infrastructure.

• Class B driver's license.

• Schedule flexibility and availability for callouts in critical situations.

• Ability to make decisions under pressure, priority management, attention to detail, operational discipline, and clear, professional communication.

Preferred qualifications

It will be a plus if you have:

• Experience in Data Center environments.

• Experience with ticketing and monitoring systems.

• Basic knowledge of Excel and management tools.

• Proactivity in problem-solving and experience reading and interpreting technical designs.

Model: 100% on-site

Work location: São Paulo/SP

Schedule: 5x2, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 1-hour break
