Junior Scrum Master

About the role

NAVA is looking for a Junior Scrum Master to support the application of agile practices, promoting collaboration among teams, the organization of activities, and continuous improvement of development processes.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of agile methodologies, support the facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, and contribute to identifying impediments and tracking deliveries, always in partnership with more experienced professionals.

Main responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the facilitation of agile ceremonies, such as Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective, contributing to alignment and collaboration among the people involved.
• Assisting in organizing team activities, tracking tasks, deadlines, priorities, and delivery progress.
• Supporting the monitoring of agile indicators and metrics, contributing to identifying improvement opportunities.
• Assisting in identifying impediments and dependencies, communicating situations that may impact activity progress and supporting efforts to find solutions.
• Encouraging communication, collaboration, and information sharing among team members.
• Supporting continuous process improvement, recording areas of attention and following up on actions defined in retrospectives.
• Contributing to the organization and updating of task boards, backlogs, and other information in the management tools used by the team.
• Supporting the application of Scrum, Kanban, and work processes defined by the client.
• Participating in follow-up and alignment meetings, recording decisions, pending items, and next steps.

Requirements

For this opportunity, it is important that you have:

• Basic knowledge of agile methodologies and team management practices.
• Understanding of Scrum principles and events, such as Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
• Basic knowledge of activity management tools, such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
• Understanding of backlog organization, task tracking, deadlines, and impediments.
• Good communication, organization, and ease of working in a team.
• Proactivity and interest in learning and developing knowledge in agility.
• Ability to track activities, organize information, and flag possible impediments.

Preferred qualifications

It will be a plus if you have:

• Prior experience in internships, academic projects, or professional work with agile methodologies.
• An introductory Scrum certification, such as PSM I, CSM, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Confluence or other collaborative documentation tools.
• Understanding of Kanban, Lean, or SAFe.
• Experience supporting the facilitation of agile ceremonies and monitoring indicators.
• Basic knowledge of agile metrics, such as team velocity, lead time, and cycle time.

Work arrangement

Model: Hybrid (initially).

Schedule: From 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
