Senior .NET Backend Developer

About the role

Nava is looking for a Senior .NET Backend Developer to work on the development, support, and evolution of high-performance technology solutions, with a focus on payment methods, acquiring, and card processing.

In this position, you will have the challenge of developing scalable, resilient, and efficient applications, working with microservices, event-driven architecture, cloud computing, and large volumes of data. You will also have the opportunity to use artificial intelligence agents to optimize development and contribute innovative solutions for the business.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, maintaining, and evolving backend applications using .NET 8 or higher.

• Building and supporting microservices and worker services, considering scalability, availability, and performance requirements.

• Analyzing and optimizing memory consumption, algorithms, and processing of large volumes of data.

• Developing and maintaining integrations and cloud solutions using AWS and messaging technologies.

• Contributing to software architecture and engineering, supporting technical decisions and continuous improvements.

• Implementing event-driven solutions, using patterns and technologies such as Kafka, Protobuf, Outbox, and Debezium.

• Monitoring applications and contributing to observability through metrics, tracing, and structured logs.

• Using AI agents to support development, performance optimization, and productivity improvements.

• Contributing to the evolution of systems related to payments, acquiring, and financial transaction processing.

Requirements

For this opportunity, it is important that you have:

• Solid experience with backend development using C# and .NET 8 or higher.

• Knowledge of React for maintenance and simple adjustments in frontend applications.

• Experience with AWS, microservices, worker services, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture, especially Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases.

• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including window functions, conditional aggregations, date and time types, and transaction behavior.

• Experience with algorithm optimization, performance analysis, and high-volume applications.

• Knowledge of observability, including metrics, tracing, and structured logs.

• Experience with payment methods and acquiring, including authorization, capture, reversal, chargeback, card brands, MDR, settlement, and receivables schedule.

• Knowledge of Central Bank regulations applicable to payment arrangements and receivables registration.

• Familiarity with CQRS, Mediator pattern, migrations in large databases, and monorepo organization.

Preferred qualifications

It will be a plus if you have:

• Experience with Protobuf, Debezium, and the Outbox pattern.

• Knowledge of OLAP architecture and columnar databases.

• Experience with database evolution strategies, considering locks and production impacts.

• Knowledge of modeling expected errors without using exceptions for flow control.

• Experience with artificial intelligence agents applied to software development.

• Experience in high-performance environments, with a focus on scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
