Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient architectures in multi-cloud environments (AWS as the primary, GCP and OCI as complementary). The position requires strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes (with emphasis on EKS), FinOps practices, identity and access management, as well as solid knowledge in networking, operating systems, and multi-account governance.

The role involves participation in strategic modernization, automation, and cost optimization projects, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable and secure multi-cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, OCI).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters, focusing on Amazon EKS, including deployments, upgrades, and observability.
• Define and maintain identity and access management (IAM) strategies: creation of policies, roles, groups, least privilege practices, and multi-account governance.
• Implement secure solutions for cross-account communication and resource sharing.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies through SCPs, audits, and continuous monitoring.
• Monitor and optimize costs by applying FinOps practices (tagging, showback/chargeback, rightsizing).
• Design and manage cloud networks: VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, VPN, VPC peering, connectivity between regions and different clouds.
• Support development teams in adopting DevOps and cloud-native practices.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
• Act in the resolution of critical incidents and root cause analysis.
