Your Challenges:
We are looking for a Mid-Level COBOL Developer to work in a Mainframe environment, contributing to the support and evolution of critical systems.
You will be part of a high-criticality environment, working on the operation and maintenance of batch processes, failure analysis, technical adjustments, and ensuring the stability of routines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor batch jobs in Control-M Mainframe, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Analyze and correct failures (abends), performing releases, reprocessing, and job restarts.
- Conduct technical investigations on programs to identify causes and execution parameters.
- Implement changes in JCLs, COBOL programs, and DB2, including steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, and RCs.
- Adjust and validate SYSINs and execution parameters.
- Perform analyses and maintenance on COBOL/JCL, following change management processes.
- Support the support and evolution of applications in critical Mainframe environments.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Solid experience with Control-M Mainframe, including dependencies, rerun/restart, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in JCL and SYSIN.
- Experience in failure analysis in TSO/ISPF environments.
- Knowledge of batch processing, including RC, steps, and datasets (GDG/VSAM).
- Experience in development and maintenance in COBOL/DB2.
- Knowledge of Mainframe environments and critical routines.
Differentials:
- Knowledge of Oracle databases.
- Experience with Mainframe utilities, such as SORT and IDCAMS.
- Experience with support tools and change management, such as Changeman.
- Availability to work in shifts, including afternoon/overnight.
- Availability to work on weekends.
