Senior FinOps Analyst

Nava is looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst to serve as a technical and strategic reference in FinOps, responsible for financial governance of cloud environments, continuous cost optimization, budget planning, consumption analysis, and business value generation through operational and financial efficiency of the technology infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining the FinOps governance process for multi-cloud environments (AWS, OCI, and GCP).
• Performing consumption analyses, identifying optimization opportunities, waste reduction, and resource efficiency.
• Preparing forecasts, budgets, and monthly financial tracking for cloud environments.
• Monitoring financial and operational indicators related to technology consumption.
• Leading chargeback, showback, and cost allocation processes across business areas.
• Supporting negotiations of contracts, renewals, and licensing models with technology vendors.
• Developing executive dashboards and management reports to track costs and consumption trends.
• Working with Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and Development teams to define best practices for consumption.
• Evaluating and recommending procurement models, reservations, savings plans, and financial optimization strategies.
• Supporting digital transformation and cloud adoption initiatives from a financial efficiency perspective.
• Ensuring adherence to internal financial governance and compliance policies.

Requirements

For this opportunity, it is important that you have:

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
• Strong experience in FinOps, Cloud financial management, or Cloud Economics.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services and billing models.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting (CAPEX/OPEX), and cost analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization tools (CloudHealth, CloudZero, Apptio Cloudability, Cast AI, or similar).
• Experience creating dashboards and analyses using Power BI, Advanced Excel, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of chargeback and showback models.
• Analytical capability to interpret large volumes of financial and operational data.
• Intermediate or advanced English for interaction with vendors and technical documentation.

Preferred qualifications

It will be a plus if you have:

• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Professional certification.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.
• Experience in financial institutions or highly regulated environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containers, and workload optimization in the cloud.
• Knowledge of Marketplace contracts, Enterprise Agreements, and cloud provider discount programs.
