Mid-Level Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to work on the creation of intelligent solutions that generate strategic value for the Kartado platform.

You will be responsible for transforming data into decisions and developing scalable artificial intelligence applications that directly impact our customers' experience and the evolution of the product.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop machine learning models and artificial intelligence solutions applied to real product challenges, from problem definition to production deployment;
• Conduct exploratory and statistical analyses to generate hypotheses, validate experiments, and support data-driven decision-making;
• Prepare, clean, and transform data from various sources, ensuring quality and consistency for model training and evaluation;
• Select appropriate algorithms and architectures for each context, evaluating trade-offs between performance, interpretability, and business impact;
• Conduct structured experiments, such as cross-validation and A/B testing, ensuring methodological rigor and clear measurement of results;
• Work together with data engineering and software development to structure pipelines, deploy, and monitor models in production;
• Explore and implement solutions with generative AI and Large Language Models, identifying innovation opportunities in the product;
• Document experiments, metrics, and results in a structured manner, promoting reproducibility and continuous evolution of solutions;
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies, contributing an analytical perspective and evidence-based guidance for delivery prioritization;
• Translate complex business problems into measurable data solutions aligned with the company's strategy.

Requirements:

• Experience with Python applied to data science, using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn;
• Solid knowledge in supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, including classification, regression, and clustering;
• Mastery of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing for model and experiment validation;
• Experience with SQL for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data in relational databases or data lakes;
• Experience in feature engineering, evaluation of performance metrics, and analysis of bias and variance;
• Familiarity with code versioning (Git) and best practices for organizing data projects;
• Ability to communicate clearly to present technical results to non-technical audiences;
• Results-oriented profile, focused on generating value for the business;
• Autonomy to conduct analytical investigations and propose innovative solutions;
• Experience in agile methodologies and collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams.

Differentials:

• Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow;
• Experience in collaborative development environments such as Databricks;
• Knowledge in Deep Learning using PyTorch or TensorFlow;
• Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI solutions applied to digital products;
• Knowledge in cloud services for machine learning (AWS SageMaker, S3, Lambda, or similar);
• Experience in B2B SaaS companies or data-driven products;
• Participation in MLOps projects, deployment, and monitoring of models in production.
