Kartado is a company founded in 2017 that provides a SaaS platform to optimize the operational and management processes for maintaining large-scale infrastructures. Our platform, which serves hundreds of users, receives significant updates weekly to introduce new features or enhance the user experience.
Today, our workflow begins with the product team, which handles analysis, UX, prototyping, and maintains close contact with other Kartado teams and our clients to identify the most important additions for the platform. The development team receives the functional specifications and prototypes from the product team, develops technical specifications, provides effort estimates, and adds issues to the backlog. For development, we work with two-week sprints, which start with a planning call and end with a review call. Each issue usually has only one person responsible for development, but the team is very united, and we engage in pair programming when necessary. At the end of development, the QA team validates the work to ensure all requirements have been met.
The product team consists of 4 people: two focused on analysis and two on prototyping. The development team has 6 people (1 full-stack, 2 back-end, 2 front-end, 1 mobile), and we have 2 people on the QA team. Most of the team works remotely and is distributed across various cities in Brazil.
We usually set synchronous hours for planning and review calls, backlog refinements, and daily stand-ups, which occur every day. Apart from these commitments, each team member is free to set their own schedule.
Kartado highly values transparency, individual opinions, and feedback. We hold 1:1 conversations with management at least once a month, and we also hold a monthly results meeting where each department shares its successes and challenges from the past month.
Join us in transforming Brazilian infrastructure!
