Senior Backend Developer (Java and Kotlin) - Hybrid in São Paulo

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to work with a major client in the agribusiness sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable and secure backend applications.
• Design and implement REST APIs to facilitate communication between different application components and integrate with third-party services.
• Use SQL and NoSQL databases for efficient data storage.
• Apply SOLID principles, development best practices, and clean code to ensure code quality.
• Create automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Work in agile environments, participating in ceremonies such as plannings, dailies, and retrospectives.
• Use containers for packaging and orchestrating applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (POs, UX/UI, DevOps, QA) to ensure the delivery of solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Experience in Java development.
• Experience with JPA (Java Persistence API) for object-relational mapping and data management in relational databases.
• Experience developing applications using Node.js with TypeScript, Kotlin with Spring, and Java with Spring.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and practical experience in its configuration and management.
• Familiarity with the concept of containers and experience deploying applications on Fargate or similar technologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Experience in agile development and continuous delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency in relational databases (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLServer) and/or non-relational databases (such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) to store and manage application data efficiently.
• Ability to design and implement REST APIs to facilitate communication between different application components and integrate with third-party services.
• Understanding of information security principles and the ability to implement appropriate security measures, such as authentication, authorization, and encryption, to protect data and prevent cyberattacks.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for effective collaboration and change control of application source code.
• Ability to debug and fix bugs efficiently.

Desirable:

• ReactJS: Creating reusable components, state management with Redux or Context API, efficient use of hooks, and familiarity with the latest React features.
• JavaScript/TypeScript: Strong command of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with TypeScript to ensure safer and more scalable code.
• Knowledge of architectures and technical practices to design scalable and high-performance systems, including database query optimization, caching, and efficient use of computational resources.
• Experience with observability and monitoring (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.).
• Technical certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect.
• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures (SNS/SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Contributions to the open-source community and active participation in technical events.
