As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, on the Platform Team you will be crucial in developing and maintaining core features and infrastructure

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features for the main StudentCrowd website, directly impacting review generation, accommodation discovery, and the reservation process.
• Develop tools and systems that enable accommodation providers to efficiently manage listings, display adverts, and utilize features like the review reply system.
• Improve the system used by our internal team to publish and manage editorial content.
• Develop and maintain our unified login and authentication system across all StudentCrowd applications
• Manage and enhance our automated deployment pipelines.
• Contribute to the ownership and maintenance of our underlying infrastructure.
• Help maintain the platform's security and performance through systems like Cloudflare WAF and Zero Trust.

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years of professional experience in fullstack software development.
• Deep expertise in PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel) and Tailwind (CSS)
• Strong proficiency with relational databases, specifically MySQL, including performance optimization and schema design.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of complex projects, and mentor and help other team members grow.
• Familiarity with search technologies such as Elasticsearch.
• A strong commitment to clean code, automated testing, and code review practices.
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
• Experience in a high-growth scale-up environment.
