What the Technology Team Does

We are the team that builds the systems that keep Seazone running—from APIs and integrations that connect our operations to booking platforms, to AI agents that automate business department workflows. We work in short cycles with frequent deployments and artificial intelligence embedded in our daily development routine. Here, AI accelerates those who already know how to execute, and every line of code generated is reviewed by someone knowledgeable enough to say no.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end APIs and service architectures, from data modeling to deployment, selecting and justifying the appropriate tech stack for each project;
• Build AI agents and integrations that connect Large Language Models (LLMs) to Seazone's internal systems, including MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers;
• Orchestrate AI tools in development with discernment: decide what to delegate, review AI output, correct errors, and reject deliverables that fall below standard;
• Work in short delivery cycles with rapid and frequent deployments, following the flow: specification → planning → implementation → validation;
• Maintain delivery quality standards with automated testing, code reviews, error handling, edge case management, refactoring, and technical documentation;
• Gather requirements directly from business units to transform ill-defined problems into well-architected solutions.

Requirements

• Solid experience (mid/senior level) in software engineering: API construction, data modeling, separation of concerns, and service architecture;
• Strong independent technical foundation: ability to recognize well-written code and explain line-by-line what it delivers—including code generated with AI assistance;
• Commitment to code quality: automated testing, readability, error handling, edge case management, and code reviews as part of the workflow;
• Critical thinking in AI usage: knowing where LLMs help, where they fail, and where they shouldn't be trusted, reviewing output rather than blindly accepting it;
• Ability to make and justify technical decisions (stack, architecture, trade-offs) appropriate for each project;
• Practical use of AI in the development workflow and in the product (LLMs, prompt engineering, API integration);
• Proficiency with Git including pull requests, testing, and CI, plus comfort with rapid deployment cycles;
• Autonomy and clear communication skills to work within a product team with frequent deliveries.

Differentials

• Experience building MCP servers or AI agents with function calling / tool use in production;
• Experience orchestrating AI agents and autonomous automations (e.g., Claude Code, API-based agents), including validating results without human supervision;
• Track record of elevating a team's technical level: code standards, review culture, mentorship;
• Experience in fast-delivery environments (startups, product teams) with continuous deployment;
• Open source contributions or personal projects demonstrating engineering discernment.

About the Hiring Process

Contract under the PJ (Independent Contractor) model, remote work, and 15 days of paid time off for every 6 months of contract.
