We are Randstad, a global leader in talent solutions. We are seeking a Tech Lead in Data Engineering to work with one of our clients on a strategic AI & Data project, technically leading a squad responsible for building and evolving the data platform.

This position is ideal for professionals with solid experience in Data Engineering, solution architecture, and technical leadership of multidisciplinary teams, capable of driving architectural decisions and ensuring the delivery of scalable, robust solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the data architecture of the solution, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Serve as the primary technical reference for the squad.
  • Guide and review the development of data pipelines in batch, streaming, and CDC (Change Data Capture) environments.
  • Ensure the adoption of engineering best practices, development standards, observability, and data governance.
  • Support the definition of strategies for quality, reliability, and monitoring of implemented solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, data scientists, analysts, and business teams.
  • Lead decisions related to cloud architecture, data modeling, and system integration.
  • Conduct technical analyses, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex issues.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous team upskilling.
  • Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Participate in technical planning, roadmap definition, and strategic direction of data initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid experience in Data Engineering and technical team leadership.
  • Python, advanced SQL, Azure, Databricks, Apache Airflow (Google Composer), Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
  • Data pipeline development: Streaming, Batch Processing, CDC (Change Data Capture).
  • Modern cloud data architectures.
  • Design and governance of enterprise data platforms.

Desired Qualifications

  • GitLab CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DataOps, and pipeline observability.
  • Experience with high-volume data environments.
  • Experience in projects within the Energy and Utilities sector.

Differentials

  • Experience as a Tech Lead or Data Architect.
  • Prior involvement in strategic digital transformation and data projects.
  • Experience in large-scale corporate environments.
