Data Scientist - Pricing

About the Position

We are looking for a Data Scientist with a strong focus on pricing to work end-to-end on the Auto Insurance pricing pipeline.

Unlike large corporations where work is siloed, you will be involved in everything from data extraction to price implementation and management in the market. This requires a systemic vision, autonomy, and the ability to translate complex analyses for the executive board.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on the complete auto insurance pricing chain: data extraction, modeling, risk estimation (IBNR), technical price composition, and monitoring of profitability KPIs;
• Develop, train, and implement Machine Learning models and mathematical optimization focused on building cost prices;
• Challenge the status quo by proposing new variables, algorithms, and methodologies to improve performance and efficiency;
• Serve as a technical reference for mid-level, junior professionals, and interns, helping to break down complex problems;
• Support business decision-making (Auto Product) and present high-impact results to executive leadership.

Technical Requirements

• Completed Bachelor's degree, preferably in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Degrees in Physics, Engineering, or Actuarial Science are also welcome with robust practical experience;
• Solid command of Python and SQL;
• End-to-end practical experience with Machine Learning models: construction, training, production implementation, and results assessment;
• Knowledge of GLM, Random Forest, LightGBM, elasticity models, and mathematical optimization;
• Experience with cloud processing (AWS, GCP, or Azure);
• Experience in the insurance market, especially in Auto, is the ideal scenario.

Work Model

Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week and 3 days remote.

Location: South Zone of São Paulo, near the Berrini / Roberto Marinho area.
