System Administrator (DB2 Support)

We have an opportunity for DB2 Support for one of our clients - the world's largest provider of IT infrastructure services, serving thousands of corporate clients in more than 60 countries.

Job Description:

• As a Systems Programmer, you will have the opportunity to shape the technology foundation that drives our world. Your work will involve the development, testing, and maintenance of the software that controls the operating system, hardware, and other system software of a computer. You will be a master at problem-solving, with the necessary skills to resolve even the most complex issues that arise.
• In addition to ensuring the security of our computer systems, you will also work in close collaboration with other IT professionals to design and implement cutting-edge technologies that keep the company at the forefront of the industry.
• As a leader in this area, you will also be responsible for conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) discussions for the products you work on and providing continuous technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams. You may even manage departments at a national or international level, setting goals and managing resources to ensure the success of your projects.
• Your expertise will be crucial in influencing people outside your department or role, and you will have the opportunity to directly shape the technological landscape of the world we live in. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience as a programmer and DB2 systems support.
• Knowledge of SMP/E for applying PTFs and maintaining IBM software.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, and software testing.
• Ability to plan and execute DB2 system updates.
• Experience in installing preventive and on-demand maintenance for DB2 products.
• Experience with DB2, z/OS, ServiceNow, NetView, FTP, SFTP, Connect:Direct, JCL, IBM utilities, etc., ideally in a complex GDPS environment.
• Advanced English (direct communication with global clients).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Assembly, Java, Python, C, and C++ (desirable).

Employment Model: CLT Indefinite Term (hired by the client).

Work Model: Remote.

Working Hours: Availability to work during business hours, Monday to Friday.
