Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

The position requires expertise in Oracle, experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and proficiency in database management. The professional must demonstrate proactivity and mastery of data security.

The environment encompasses databases, split between production and staging/testing, requiring expertise in migration and management within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) architecture. The professional will be responsible for provisioning machines and storage, in addition to possessing skills in query optimization (query tuning).

The role demands proactivity and the responsibility of managing privileged access control tools, such as CyberArk, as well as an understanding of micro-segmentation to ensure database layer security. Although the focus is technical, the ability to handle pressure is considered a fundamental behavioral competency, given that the environment is generally stable but critical when incidents occur.

Data Management and Performance

- Continuous administration: Manage and sustain databases for the Federation and branches, ensuring high availability.

- Operation and optimization: Conduct installations, proactive monitoring, performance evaluation (tuning), and agile incident resolution (troubleshooting).

- Business continuity: Define, manage, and test rigorous backup and restore routines.

Cloud Architecture and Migration

- Cloud journey: Lead the migration of database services to the cloud (such as OCI or similar architectures).

- Technical provisioning: Define server sizing (shapes/instances), install operating systems, provision resources, and perform fine-tuning of infrastructure.

- Secure transition: Execute data migration ensuring integrity and design architectures with redundancy for resilience.

Security and Governance

- Environment protection: Maintain database security through the systematic application of patches and version updates.

- Tool management: Implement and administer security and monitoring solutions contracted by the organization.

- Standardization and Quality: Improve internal processes by creating and reviewing Operational Procedures (OP), Quality Records (QR), Internal Standards (IS), and documenting the area of operation.

Strategic Action and Projects

- Infrastructure innovation: Actively participate in projects involving structural changes to the Federation and individual units' environments.

- Internal consulting: Act as a strategic partner, contributing new ideas, tools, and processes for the continuous modernization of the technological ecosystem.

HARD SKILLS

- Mastery of database management systems (such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL), encompassing installation, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting.

- Architecture and Cloud Computing: Experience with infrastructure provisioning (IaaS/PaaS), instance sizing (shapes), and execution of complex migrations from on-premise environments to cloud providers (such as OCI, AWS, or Azure).

- Operating Systems: Solid knowledge in the administration and installation of servers (Linux and Windows Server) hosting the databases.

- Information Security and Compliance: Application of security patches, vulnerability management, version updates, and integration with protection tools (such as password vaults and segmentation).

- Business Continuity: Design of high-availability architectures (clustering, redundancy) and practical mastery of backup and restore tools and strategies.

- IT Governance: Knowledge of quality and process frameworks (such as ITIL) for the elaboration of Operational Procedures (OP) and Internal Standards (IS).

- Bachelor's degree completed in Information Technology, Information Security, Databases, Networks, or related fields.
