Senior Data Solutions Architect (Google Cloud & AI Accelerators)

ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for a professional to work as a Data Solutions Architect Specialist on a strategic data platform migration project for a major financial institution. The project involves migrating from Cloudera on AWS to Google Cloud, with approximately 13,000 Spark and PySpark jobs and 2.5 PB of data. The professional will serve as the architecture reference point and will lead the use of AI-powered migration accelerators, in partnership with Google Cloud's professional services team. The position is also open to people with disabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES • Define and validate the target architecture on Google Cloud with the client's and Google's architects, mapping legacy components. • Lead the use of accelerators for automated code discovery, dependency mapping, AI-assisted conversion, and rule governance. • Plan the migration in waves, preserving modeling, names, and business rules. • Define standards for Dataproc, BigQuery, Cloud Storage with Iceberg, Composer, and streaming with Kafka and Flink. • Design equivalence validation between source and target, with automatic partition-level comparison. • Support the adaptation of proprietary frameworks to Google Cloud without changing job code. • Drive architecture decisions, documenting alternatives, scope impacts, and change control. • Ensure security, IAM, customer-managed key encryption, and data governance requirements. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data, including at least 4 years in data solutions architecture. • Minimum of 3 years of experience with architecture on Google Cloud. • Proven experience migrating data platforms to the cloud. • Availability to work 100% on-site in São Paulo.
