Job Description

We are looking for a person to lead the technology area both technically and operationally, guiding the engineering team, evolving system architecture, and ensuring the quality, predictability, and efficiency of deliveries. This role combines strategic action with strong day-to-day technical involvement, uniting development, people management, and process evolution.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years leading technical teams (Tech Lead, Eng. Manager, or equivalent).
  • Solid mastery of C# / .NET (ASP.NET Core) in production environments.
  • Practical experience with Node.js in services and APIs.
  • Design and versioning of APIs in REST, GraphQL, and gRPC — choosing the right approach for each case.
  • Real-world experience with distributed systems: messaging/events (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), eventual consistency, idempotency, resilience patterns (retry, circuit breaker, timeouts), and observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
  • Relational and non-relational databases, with knowledge of modeling and performance.
  • Containers (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to make and justify architectural decisions based on scalability, cost, and sustainability.

Leadership and Management


  • Delivery coordination: planning, backlog prioritization, and tracking.
  • Quality culture: code review, testing, engineering standards.
  • Mentorship and technical development of the team.
  • Operational management: incidents, SLAs, and tracking OKRs/KPIs.
  • Clear communication with executive leadership and business areas.

Behavioral Profile


  • Autonomy and maturity to make decisions without needing constant validation — essential given the transition context.
  • Strong teaching ability to receive knowledge transfer and subsequently disseminate it to the team.
  • Balance between pragmatism (delivering) and technical vision (avoiding unsustainable debt).

Differentials


  • Previous experience leading architecture evolution (e.g., monolith → modular/microservices, or consolidation).
  • Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Event-driven architectures and/or DDD.
  • Experience with payment gateway integrations.
  • Experience with e-commerce.
