SRE - Observability Engineer

About the Role

We have an open position to work in a Cloud Center of Excellence, focused on structuring and maturing environment observability using Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the current level of observability maturity and identify blind spots.
• Instrument applications and configure Datadog across Infrastructure, APM, Logs, and Tracing fronts.
• Create dashboards and alerts that empower the team to take action, not just view graphs.
• Establish standards for logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Define SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets in collaboration with teams.
• Support day-to-day troubleshooting, documenting processes and transferring knowledge.

Requirements

• Experience as an SRE or Observability Engineer, monitoring applications, infrastructure, APIs, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog — APM, logs, metrics, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Practical experience defining SLIs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.
• Troubleshooting applications and cloud environments, with the ability to investigate down to the root cause.
