Tasks and Responsibilities
Show originalWe are seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer to build, maintain, and evolve data pipelines, ensuring the integration of multiple sources, as well as the quality, reliability, and availability of information to support analysis and decision-making.
The professional will be responsible for developing ETL/ELT processes, implementing data engineering best practices, supporting governance initiatives, and preparing data for analytical consumption by BI solutions and dashboards. They will also work on process automation, code versioning, and developing solutions aligned with agile practices.
Skills and Experience
Mandatory Requirements- Bachelor's degree completed in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields;
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in related roles;
- Knowledge and experience in:
- Development and maintenance of data pipelines (ETL/ELT);
- Advanced SQL;
- Data modeling;
- Relational databases;
- Python for data transformation, automation, and integration;
- Code versioning with Git;
- Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
- Knowledge of data governance;
- Experience with metadata, data lineage, and standardization;
- Knowledge of data quality controls and traceability;
- Familiarity with security by design practices;
- Experience preparing data for BI tools and dashboard construction.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT);
- Integrate data from different sources, ensuring its quality and consistency;
- Implement transformation, automation, and integration processes using Python;
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and data models;
- Apply engineering, governance, and code versioning best practices;
- Implement data quality controls, traceability, and security;
- Prepare datasets for analytical consumption, supporting BI solutions and dashboards;
- Work collaboratively in agile teams, contributing to the continuous evolution of solutions.
