COBOL Developer - Hybrid (São Paulo)

We are looking for a Mainframe Developer

Professional with solid experience in Mainframe development and support, responsible for monitoring the batch job stream in Control-M, ensuring SLA compliance and the continuity of critical processes.

Agile action in identifying and resolving abends and failures in the batch job stream, performing root cause analysis, fixes, releases, reprocessing, and restarting executions. Ability to perform rapid diagnostics on programs to identify the source of issues, validate execution parameters, and propose solutions with agility.

Experience in maintaining and modifying JCLs, COBOL/DB2 programs and their components, including configuration of steps, DDs, parameters, datasets, conditionals, and return codes (RCs). Knowledge in creating, adjusting, and validating SYSINs (cards and execution parameters), as well as implementing changes in COBOL programs and JCLs following formal change management processes when applicable.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with Control-M Mainframe, including batch job stream monitoring, dependency management, rerun, restart, and troubleshooting.
• Mastery of JCL and SYSIN.
• Experience in developing and maintaining COBOL programs with DB2 access.
• Hands-on experience in analyzing and resolving failures in TSO/ISPF environments.
• Practical knowledge of batch processing, including steps, Return Codes (RCs), and dataset management, such as GDG and VSAM.
• Ability to perform rapid diagnostics, identify root causes, and act to stabilize production environments.
• Experience with change control processes and best practices for supporting mission-critical environments.
