BYX is looking for a Senior Python Developer to build and evolve digital solutions for the financial market.

This role involves end-to-end ownership, participating in technical definition, development, integration, deployment, and maintenance of applications alongside Product, QA, and other technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications and APIs using Python.
• Define simple, scalable, and secure technical solutions.
• Work on integrations with internal systems, partners, and external services.
• Participate in data modeling and the evolution of relational and non-relational databases.
• Support architecture decisions, code organization, and development standards.
• Create and maintain automated tests.
• Perform code reviews and support the team's technical growth.
• Monitor production applications, analyzing logs, metrics, and incidents.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud deployments.
• Participate in refinement sessions, estimations, and solution definition with Product and QA.
• Drive continuous improvement in application performance, security, and quality.
• Document APIs, technical decisions, and relevant workflows.

Requirements and Skills

• Solid experience with Python and backend application development.
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Experience creating and consuming REST APIs.
• Knowledge of software architecture, best practices, and design patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL databases.
• Knowledge of Redis, message queues, or asynchronous processing.
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing.
• Experience with Git and code reviews.
• Knowledge of Docker and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Experience with observability, logging, and application monitoring.
• Ability to work autonomously across all stages of development.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Node.js or frontend development.
• Knowledge of GoLang.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, messaging, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with high-volume and high-availability applications.
• Knowledge of security applied to APIs and sensitive data.
• Experience in fintechs, banking, credit, payment methods, or regulated environments.
