Show originalAbout the role:
We are looking for a Lawyer I to join our legal team, responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating business contracts, as well as supporting the company's Privacy and Data Protection Governance Program.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate contracts of various types, including service agreements, supply contracts, commercial partnerships, confidentiality agreements (NDA), software licensing, SaaS, technical support, consulting, terms of use, amendments, and other related instruments;
- Identify and assess legal risks, proposing alternatives to mitigate them and protect the company's interests;
- Support internal departments in interpreting contractual clauses and conducting negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners;
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including drafting, review, signing, renewal, and termination;
- Prepare legal opinions, memorandums, and guidance related to company operations;
- Support the standardization and updating of contract templates used by the company;
- Support the maintenance and evolution of the Privacy and Data Protection Governance Program;
- Conduct compliance analyses related to the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) in internal processes, projects, and new business initiatives;
- Review and draft contractual clauses involving personal data processing, data sharing, and relationships with operators and controllers;
- Draft and review policies, procedures, privacy notices, consent forms, and other documents related to data protection;
- Support the handling of requests related to data subject rights;
- Assist in mapping personal data flows and identifying privacy risks;
- Support internal training and awareness initiatives on data protection;
- Monitor regulatory updates and best practices related to the LGPD and privacy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law;
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB);
- Prior experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating business contracts;
- Knowledge of the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD);
- Excellent legal writing and written communication skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with technology contracts, software licensing, SaaS, cloud computing, and IT services;
- Participation in LGPD compliance or maintenance projects;
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department;
- Knowledge of compliance and corporate governance.
