Senior Data Administrator

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Data Administrator with solid experience in data administration and modeling, knowledge of banking business, and hands-on experience with the BIAN framework, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), Apache Kafka, and event governance.

The professional will work on data and event modeling, administration, and governance, collaborating closely with architects, business analysts, and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer and model data at the conceptual, logical, and physical levels, aligned with business needs and regulatory requirements;
• Apply BIAN framework principles to data modeling, banking services, and system integrations;
• Work on transactional and event-driven data governance, defining standards, policies, and best practices;
• Define, version, and govern events in Apache Kafka, including topics, data contracts, and publication/consumption flows;
• Design, structure, and maintain AVRO schemas, ensuring compatibility, versioning, and adherence to corporate standards;
• Support initiatives related to data quality, data catalog, lineage, and corporate metadata;
• Collaborate closely with solution architects, enterprise architects, business analysts, and development teams;
• Work within CI/CD pipelines, supporting the automation of deployments and validation of models, events, and schemas;
• Document and keep updated data assets, events, and governance artifacts.

Requirements

Experience and Technical Skills

• Solid experience in data administration and modeling;
• Knowledge of banking business, especially in areas such as Overdraft, Accounts, and Payments;
• Practical and applicable knowledge of the BIAN framework;
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and Apache Kafka;
• Knowledge of event governance, including defining contracts, versioning, and compatibility policies;
• Experience in modeling and managing AVRO schemas (Schema Registry);
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
• Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similar;
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases;
• Understanding and application of data compliance and privacy regulations, including LGPD and GDPR.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
