Senior C# (.NET) Programmer – Retail (Bars & Restaurants)

We are an active company in the bars and restaurants segment, developing solutions that encompass everything from the point of sale (POS), order management, inventory, to integration systems with partners. We are looking for someone experienced, with a practical and collaborative profile, who understands the challenges of a high-paced retail environment.

Job Objective

Hire a senior developer to focus heavily on the development and maintenance of distributed systems in C#, with direct involvement in integrations, APIs, data exchange formats (XML, JSON), use of relational databases (MySQL), and a deep understanding of the specifics of the retail/restaurants sector.

Responsibilities

Here are some of the expected responsibilities:

• • Design, develop, and maintain applications in C#, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create, document, and maintain RESTful APIs for integrations with external and internal partners.
  • Work with data exchange in JSON and XML, both in requests/responses and pipelines (events, messaging, queues) if necessary.
  • Structure and maintain distributed applications (or modular architectures), with good software architecture practices.
  • Modeling, querying, optimizing, and maintaining MySQL databases: creating tables, indexes, query tuning, migrations, etc.
  • Collaborate in technical planning, requirements analysis, and impact assessment of changes.
  • Perform automated tests (unit and/or integration), code review, and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Ensure security, error handling, logging, monitoring, and deployment in production environments.
  • Work in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar), participating in planning, refinement, sprints, etc.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: product, infrastructure, operations, support.

Required Requirements

These are the minimum knowledge we expect:

• • Solid experience with C# and .NET (recent versions).
  • Proven experience with MySQL, including query optimization, modeling, and basic administration.
  • Experience in distributed applications / scalable architectures.
  • Mastery of REST APIs, and a deep understanding of JSON and XML (creation, parsing, schemas, validation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with external partner integrations (via API, webhooks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of design patterns, software engineering best practices (SOLID, Clean Code, etc.).
  • Experience with code versioning (Git or equivalent), CI/CD practices, and automated testing.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve performance, security, and system stability issues.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and autonomy.
  • Strong ability to DOCUMENT CODE and ORGANIZE code involving current best practices and standards.
  • Previous experience in the bars/restaurants / retail sector, with an understanding of order flows, inventory control, POS, delivery, etc.
  • Experience with API security (authentication, authorization, tokens, OAuth, JWT, etc.).

  • Track record of delivering complex projects or those with intense integrations.
