What is the challenge of this role?

Act as a technical reference in the development and evolution of highly complex backend solutions, contributing to the construction of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. The professional will be responsible for proposing architectural improvements, solving critical engineering challenges, optimizing Java applications, ensuring code quality through best practices, and acting as a knowledge multiplier for the team, supporting strategic technical decisions and the continuous evolution of the platform.

What we expect from you:

Solid experience in Java: Advanced mastery of Java 8+, with in-depth knowledge of the JVM, including memory management, Garbage Collection, and performance optimization.

Backend Frameworks: Consolidated experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem, including Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring Batch, applying architectural best practices and developing scalable applications.

Databases: Proficiency in Oracle and PostgreSQL, with experience in modeling, query optimization (tuning), indexing strategies, and working in high-concurrency environments.

Messaging: Solid experience with Apache Kafka, including publishing and consuming messages, topic design, delivery guarantees, and idempotent consumption strategies.

REST APIs: Experience in creating and maintaining RESTful APIs, including versioning, documentation with Swagger/OpenAPI, security, and performance optimization.

Containers and Orchestration: Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, working on the lifecycle, deployment, and maintenance of applications.

Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Datadog, creating dashboards, performance analysis (APM), and log monitoring.

Software Quality: Experience with automated testing, code reviews, Clean Code, Design Patterns, and development best practices.

Not required but we would love it if...

Experience with Spring WebFlux and Project Reactor (reactive programming).

Knowledge of performance analysis tools, such as JProfiler and VisualVM.

Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

Knowledge of application security using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

Experience with NoSQL databases.

Contributions to Open Source projects.

English for technical reading and writing.
