Tech Leader Full Stack (Node.js / React)

About the position

We are looking for a Tech Leader Full Stack to technically lead a development team, being responsible for both product evolution and team growth. You will act as a technical reference, contributing hands-on code while ensuring solid architecture, delivery quality, and product development.

Key responsibilities

Technical leadership

• Act as the team's technical reference, guiding architecture decisions, solution design, and technological trade-offs;
• Conduct code reviews focused on learning, quality, and standardization;
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of technical excellence and collaboration;
• Facilitate technical discussions (refinements, design reviews, RFCs) and ensure alignment within the team;
• Work closely with the Product Owner and UX/UI Designers on technical prioritization and solution feasibility;
• Identify technical bottlenecks, technical debt, and risks, proposing action plans to the team and stakeholders;
• Promote engineering best practices, documentation, and processes within the team.

Hands-on development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and performance-oriented web services using NestJS and NextJS;
• Collaborate with the team on modeling and implementing APIs, microservices, and integrations;
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices (DDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID, Design Patterns);
• Act in database architecture, schema optimization, and ensuring data integrity;
• Actively participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment;
• Work with the aid of AI tools to accelerate development, such as Claude Code or similar.

Product and processes

• Have a product mindset, understanding the technical impact on delivering value to the user;
• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, collaborating on the continuous evolution of the team's processes;
• Stay updated with the Node.js, NestJS, React, NextJS, and related technologies ecosystems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full stack web development;
• Previous experience in technical leadership of development teams (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or similar);
• Solid experience with NextJS and NestJS;
• Strong knowledge in TypeScript;
• Experience with software architecture design and microservices;
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSocket protocols;
• Experience with DDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and Design Patterns;
• Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis;
• Solid knowledge of web security principles (cryptography, authentication, authorization, OWASP Top 10);
• Experience with API Gateway, Rate Limiting, and CORS;
• Knowledge in web performance optimization (SSR, SSG, caching, lazy loading, bundle analysis);
• Proven ability in communication, mentoring, and technical influence;
• Ability to balance short-term deliverables with a long-term technical vision.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced agile environment;
• Experience developing with AI agents;
• Experience with Mobile development (React Native, Flutter);
• Experience with monorepos;
• Knowledge in asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS);
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies;
• Experience in managing technical debt and architectural evolution roadmaps;
• Experience with defining technical standards and guidelines for teams.
