Senior Data Engineer (Remote)

🔍 About the area:

You will join the Engineering team, being the main person responsible for building and structuring the new Data area of

LWSA. Currently, the team includes Fullstack Developers and QA, and you will come to bring the technical expertise

needed to turn our BI and data analytics infrastructure into a market benchmark.

The biggest challenge will be structuring the data pipeline and the dashboards for customer usage behavior.

You will be a key player in modeling churn and providing accurate data so the product team can make

strategic decisions. Today, we have a bottleneck in these deliverables, and you will have full autonomy to solve this business pain point.

💼 Responsibilities and day-to-day activities:

Design and implement robust data pipelines, covering the entire cycle: source identification, ingestion, transformation, enrichment, and data loads;

Set up and maintain all the infrastructure needed to run the data stack, managing costs to ensure operational efficiency;

Handle large volumes of data using the Open Source ecosystem;

Contribute to the evolution of our Data Lake and infrastructure, seeking continuous improvement in engineering standards;

Build and maintain strategic dashboards for the Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams;

Define internal processes for the data area and support data-driven decision-making.

🤩 We expect you to have:

Solid experience with AWS (ability to spin up and maintain hosting services);

Proficiency in Python and SQL;

Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, and Hudi (or similar);

Knowledge of visualization and BI tools: Metabase and Apache Superset;

Experience with Clickhouse;

Autonomy and willingness to build a structure from scratch;

A communicative profile to interact with different areas of the company.

Prior experience structuring data areas from scratch.
