We are looking for an experienced and autonomous professional to serve as a Senior Workday Benefits Specialist. You will be the subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Benefits, responsible for solution design, configuration, testing, and implementation of global business requirements, with Workday as the system of record.
You will partner with HR, Payroll, and related teams to deliver accurate, compliant, and scalable solutions, supporting both day-to-day operations and emerging business needs. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive work to completion with limited supervision. The primary focus is functional configuration, solution quality, and business outcomes, not custom development.
Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into Workday configuration solutions, advising on best practices;
- Identify impacts in related domains and ensure solutions are sustainable and supportable;
- Support HR, Payroll, and downstream teams in delivering accurate and compliant solutions;
- Support Workday production environments, including troubleshooting and configuration changes in live systems;
- Collaborate with integration partners and technical teams as needed;
- Assess end-to-end impacts across the Hire-to-Retire lifecycle in cross-functional solutions;
- Support global or multi-country Workday implementations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Workday configuration, with deep knowledge of Benefits;
- Proven ability to design and deliver Workday configuration solutions independently, from requirements to implementation;
- Solid understanding of benefits and payroll business processes, including downstream impacts;
- Experience supporting Workday production environments, including troubleshooting and configuration changes in live systems;
- Experience with global or multi-country Workday implementations;
- Familiarity with Workday business process frameworks, security considerations, and reporting impacts related to Time and Absence;
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and supportable Workday solutions using best-practice configuration approaches;
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in a corporate and cross-functional environment;
- Advanced/Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience configuring one or more additional Workday functional areas, such as Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, or Projects;
- Experience working in matrix or global teams;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, HRIS, or a related field.
