About the role:

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to manage the technology foundation that supports ITpS products and data flows. The environment includes on-premises servers, virtualization, containers, networks, databases, observability, NVIDIA GPUs for local inference, and cloud services when appropriate for the Institute's needs.

We are looking for someone who can simplify operations, automate repetitive work, and increase service reliability. We expect autonomy to make decisions, communicate risks, and lead incidents with method and calm. Leadership will be technical, with involvement in architecture, automation, review, mentoring, and delivery coordination; the role does not include formal people management. It is not necessary to be an expert in every component of the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Automate and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, including validation, versioning, deployment, and rollback;
  • Make environments reproducible through infrastructure as code and automated configuration management;
  • Administer Linux systems, containers, and the virtualization components used by the Institute's services;
  • Maintain metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerts that help the team act, with well-defined criteria and owners;
  • Plan and execute backups, restoration tests, and recovery procedures for services and databases;
  • Operate network and security components, such as reverse proxy, TLS, DNS, VPN, firewall, routing, and segmentation;
  • Apply risk-proportional controls to protect personal and sensitive data, in compliance with the LGPD and applicable ethical standards;
  • Support the operation of NVIDIA GPUs and local inference services maintained by the Institute;
  • Respond to incidents, prioritizing service recovery and then root cause identification and prevention of recurrence;
  • Maintain clear operational procedures and documentation, reducing dependence on individual knowledge;
  • Work with product, design, development, data, epidemiology, and science to define capacity, security, deployment, and observability.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience administering Linux in production environments;
  • Hands-on experience with containers and at least one virtualization platform;
  • Experience with infrastructure as code or automated configuration management, using Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent tooling;
  • Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation in shell, Python, or an equivalent language;
  • Operational knowledge of networks, including DNS, TLS, VPN, firewall, routing, and segmentation;
  • Experience with observability, actionable alerts, and failure diagnosis in distributed systems;
  • Proven experience with backup and restoration, including recovery testing;
  • Experience with PostgreSQL in production, including backup, restoration, and monitoring;
  • Knowledge of security best practices and protection of personal and sensitive data, including access and secrets management;
  • Ability to lead incidents, prioritize actions under pressure, and communicate risks clearly;
  • Ability to make and document technical decisions and support others' work;
  • Ability to read technical documentation in English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in healthcare, sensitive data, or environments with audit and continuity requirements;
  • Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, NVIDIA Container Toolkit, or inference services such as vLLM, SGLang, or Ollama;
  • Experience with Kubernetes or k3s, PostgreSQL replication, or point-in-time recovery (PITR);
  • Experience with site reliability engineering (SRE) practices, such as service level objectives (SLOs), capacity management, blameless post-incident reviews, or physical infrastructure operations.

Behavioral competencies:

  • Ethical and respectful professional conduct, with courtesy in relationships, respect for diversity, and care with confidential information;
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating on deliveries, valuing different perspectives, and recognizing others' contributions;
  • Willingness to share knowledge, document learnings, and support colleagues' development, reducing dependence on individual knowledge;
  • Clear and respectful communication, with active listening to understand needs, clarify doubts, and align expectations;
  • Openness to give and receive constructive feedback and handle disagreements through dialogue, with a focus on problem-solving;
  • Organization and accountability for deadlines and commitments, communicating difficulties and risks in advance and seeking support when needed;
  • Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to change, recognizing limitations and incorporating team contributions;
  • Interest in applying technology to public health. Prior experience in the health sector is not required.

Benefits:

  • Health insurance;
  • Dental insurance;
  • Meal voucher;
  • Food voucher;
  • Transportation voucher;
  • Childcare/nanny assistance;
  • Complementary retirement plan;
  • Life insurance;

  • Pharmacy discount;
  • Partner gyms, Wellhub and Totalpass;
  • Access to Itaú Unibanco clubs.
