Junior Network and Telecommunications Technician – On-site – Florianópolis/SC

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Provide support, follow up, and resolve tickets via an ITSM tool (GLPI knowledge desired);
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on structured cabling, using diagnostic tools such as network scanners and testers;
• Configure, test connectivity, and troubleshoot Layer 2 switches;
• Install, configure, connect, and test IP telephony (VoIP) equipment and other network devices;
• Activate, identify, and organize network points in telecommunications racks;
• Configure and test VLANs, ensuring proper traffic segmentation and connectivity;
• Register network-connected equipment, keeping inventory records up to date;
• Work with IT infrastructure and support teams to ensure high availability and full operation of telecommunications services.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical course in Telecommunications, or a bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), or a degree in any field plus a postgraduate course in Telecommunications;
• Proven experience in Telecommunications, involving telephony (analog and digital) and data communications;
• Experience configuring, administering, and maintaining PBX systems and analog and digital extensions;
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting structured cabling;
• Knowledge of monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting audio, voice, and data resources.
