Position Overview
Join a full-stack engineering team developing scalable web applications using Java, MySQL, JavaScript, and React. As a full-stack engineer, you will contribute to both backend and frontend development, working closely with your Tech Lead and team members to deliver high-quality features that meet our users' needs.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
- Develop and maintain Java applications using the Spring Boot framework
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices
- Write efficient MySQL queries and optimize database performance
- Implement business logic and data validation layers
- Work with JPA/Hibernate for database interactions
- Participate in database schema design and migration planning
- Ensure proper error handling and logging practices
Frontend Development
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React
- Implement modern JavaScript features (ES6+) and best practices
- Manage application state using React hooks and context or state management libraries
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Implement client-side validation and user experience enhancements
- Work with designers to translate mockups into functional components
Code Quality and Testing
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Develop unit tests for both backend (JUnit) and frontend (Jest)
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Follow established coding standards and development guidelines
- Debug and troubleshoot across the entire stack
- Write integration tests to ensure seamless backend-frontend communication
Collaboration and Delivery
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning and daily standups
- Work closely with the Tech Lead on technical design decisions and implementation
- Collaborate with Product Managers and designers on feature requirements
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions
- Estimate development effort for assigned tasks
- Deliver features on time while maintaining quality standards
Required Qualifications
Backend Skills
- 2+ years of experience with Java development
- Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem
- Practical knowledge of MySQL including basic query optimization
- Understanding of RESTful API design principles
- Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks
- Basic understanding of database design and relational concepts
Frontend Skills
- 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and modern ES6+ features
- Strong experience with React including functional components and hooks
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience with popular React libraries (React Router, etc.)
- Knowledge of asynchronous JavaScript and API integration
- Basic understanding of browser developer tools and debugging
General Technical Skills
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative workflows
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing practices
- Familiarity with development tools and IDEs (IntelliJ, VS Code, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of build tools and package managers (Maven/Gradle, npm/yarn)
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
