Mission

Plan, provision, configure, and maintain SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases in cloud and on-premises environments.

Ensure security, compliance, and high availability through monitoring and automation.

Perform performance tuning and manage capacity and costs.

Implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.

Execute updates and patching to ensure stability and security.

Identify and resolve incidents, ensuring operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

Administer SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in on-premises and cloud environments on AWS and OCI.

Install, configure, and harden databases.

Manage identities and access, encryption, and compliance best practices.

Performance tuning and query optimization, including execution plan analysis.

Data modeling and index creation for efficiency and scalability.

High availability and disaster recovery, including backup, restore, replication, clustering, Always On, and streaming.

Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting to identify and resolve incidents.

Automation and script development in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

Administration of Linux and Windows systems.

Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.

Version control with Git.

What you need to secure this position

Availability for on-site work in Bauru.

Mastery of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB architecture and internals.

Experience in designing schemas, indexes, and partitioning or sharding.

Experience in advanced performance tuning, including execution plans, concurrency, locking, I/O, and memory.

Experience in high availability and disaster recovery, including Always On, FCI, physical and logical replication, Patroni, replica sets, sharding, PITR, and DR testing.

Experience in end-to-end security, including RBAC, IAM, encryption at rest and in transit, KMS, auditing, and LGPD.

Experience in automation and infrastructure as code with PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD for databases using Flyway or Liquibase.

Experience in observability and SRE with metrics, tracing, and logs using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, runbooks, and incident response.

Experience in cloud and on-premises operations and optimization, including network, VPC, storage, validated backup and restore, capacity, and costs.

Experience in complex migrations and upgrades, and databases in containers and Kubernetes, including StatefulSets and Operators.
