Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.


Experience:

• Solid experience as a Software Architect, Tech Lead, or equivalent role.

• Experience defining and evolving architectures for distributed systems and highly complex applications.


Mandatory Technical Skills

Software Architecture and Engineering

• Software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

• Mastery of patterns and practices such as SOLID, Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and DDD.

• Knowledge of integration patterns, REST APIs, gRPC, messaging, and asynchronous communication.

• Knowledge of architectural patterns related to scalability, resilience, availability, performance, and security.

• Experience with automated testing, code quality, technical reviews, and secure development practices.

• Ability to evaluate architectural alternatives considering trade-offs, cost, risk, deadlines, complexity, sustainability, and operational impact.


Languages and Development

Solid knowledge of key technologies used in enterprise development, especially:

• Java / Spring Boot

• .NET / C#

• TypeScript / Node.js

• Angular and/or React

The architect is expected to have sufficient technical depth to review implementations, develop proofs of concept, and work hands-on in critical situations.


Containers, Infrastructure, and Cloud Native

Experience with:

• Docker and Docker Swarm

• Kubernetes

• Helm

• Rancher and/or OpenShift

• ArgoCD and GitOps practices

• Proxies and web servers such as Nginx, Traefik, and Apache

• Load Balancers and load balancing strategies

• API Gateway and API Management

CI/CD and DevOps

Advanced knowledge in creating, evolving, and governing CI/CD pipelines, including:

Knowledge and experience with coding agents and AI-assisted development tools, such as:

• Equivalent AI Coding tools

Ability to apply these tools securely and productively in activities such as development, code review, documentation, testing, refactoring, technical analysis, and automation, while maintaining quality, security, and governance standards.

Ability to document architectural decisions, contexts, components, integrations, risks, constraints, and trade-offs, keeping documentation concise and up-to-date.


Desirable Skills / Differentiators

• AWS, Azure, or other Cloud platform certifications.

• Kubernetes certifications, such as CKA or CKAD.

• Certifications related to software architecture.

• Graduate degree or specialization in Software Architecture.

• Experience with critical systems, high-availability environments, or government/judicial systems.

Activities and Responsibilities

• Define, evolve, and ensure adherence to reference architectures.

• Support the team in making technical decisions, evaluating alternatives, risks, impacts, and trade-offs.

• Translate business needs into viable, scalable, and sustainable technical solutions.

• Participate in technical refinement and decomposition of requirements and solutions.

• Support estimates, activity sequencing, dependency identification, and technical planning.

• Identify and mitigate risks related to architecture, security, performance, scalability, integrations, and technical debt.

• Conduct Design Reviews and Code Reviews, ensuring consistency and technical quality of implementations.

• Define and disseminate standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Promote CI/CD, DevOps, GitOps, automation, and infrastructure as part of the development lifecycle.

• Ensure appropriate standards for observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and troubleshooting.

• Monitor the technical health of products through stability, performance, quality, testing, and technical debt indicators.

• Provide technical support for critical incidents, performing root cause analysis and proposing structural solutions to prevent recurrence.

• Evaluate and recommend technologies, tools, frameworks, and standards considering maturity, cost, fit, and scalability.

• Create proofs of concept to validate technologies and architectural decisions.

• Work hands-on on critical or highly complex problems.

• Promote mentoring, pairing, and knowledge sharing within teams.

• Facilitate technical alignment between development, product, infrastructure, security, QA, architecture, and other stakeholders.


Employment Contract Information

Compensation: To be discussed

Work Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
