Junior Data Scientist | Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform statistical analyses with supervision and develop basic to intermediate predictive models
• Implement data pipelines and contribute to the development of machine learning solutions
• Collect, clean, and prepare data for model training independently
• Test different modeling approaches and evaluate performance with appropriate metrics
• Actively participate in projects involving fine-tuning of SLMs
• Apply prompt engineering techniques and implement RAG systems
• Document technical processes and present results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with more experienced data scientists on complex projects

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: Full degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields
• At least 1 year of professional experience in data science or related areas
• Solid knowledge of Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib/seaborn)
• Practical experience with machine learning and libraries such as scikit-learn
• Knowledge of applied statistics and model validation techniques
• Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic knowledge of NLP and text processing
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks (langchain, llama-index)
• Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with basic model deployment (REST APIs)
