What you will achieve:

The Messaging Platform Engineer provides middleware messaging engineering, system administration, and support for RabbitMQ and Kafka environments — both new and existing — including performing related tasks such as: software installation, patch application, upgrades, object definition, configuration, security, system monitoring and tuning, disaster recovery planning and execution, as well as backup and restoration processes. You will work independently on the monitoring and daily operation of cloud and legacy applications. You will need to develop automations using scripting languages, in addition to handling critical operational tasks and on-demand requests.

You will:

• Design, build, and support large-scale distributed corporate messaging platforms.
• Identify and implement best practices to ensure high platform availability (business continuity, disaster recovery, backup/restoration, repartitioning, zero-downtime upgrades).
• Implement and reinforce security practices, in addition to providing operational support for platform issues to development teams.
• Address performance and scalability challenges arising from Kafka producers and consumers, leading capacity planning and proactive monitoring initiatives.
• Work in a global agile team and serve as a mentor to junior members.

Essential Requirements

• Advanced/fluent English to work in a global team.
• Solid track record with Kafka messaging middleware, application platform management, and distributed architecture/solutions, including administration, management, and tuning in large-scale corporate environments.
• Expertise in monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Elastic Search, with strong knowledge in Kafka diagnostics, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Expertise in RabbitMQ and/or other messaging platforms, along with advanced skills to identify and resolve issues in complex and high-criticality environments.
• Proven ability to act analytically and structurally, providing support for distributed messaging platforms and conducting large-scale debugging processes.

Desirable Requirements

• Proven expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration and Docker containers.
• Experience with Python, Ansible, and/or other programming languages.
