Tasks and Responsibilities

Show original

At DB1, every line of code, test, or insight is an opportunity to create real impact. We are driven by curiosity and the desire to transform complex problems into solutions that simplify people's lives. We love to experiment, learn, and innovate, which is why this is the place to put your talent to the test.

If you combine intelligence with a relentless desire to learn and evolve, and possess a resilient mindset shaped by overcoming challenges, you already embody much of the DB1 essence. Here, every challenge is an opportunity for growth, every mistake is a lesson to come back stronger, and every victory is fuel to move forward with a clear mission and solid values that give meaning to every step. At DB1, overcoming adversity is not the exception; it is part of the journey.

Profile we are looking for:

TECHNICAL PROFILE

Backend (platform core)

Strong knowledge of Java with Spring Boot or Quarkus. Knowing the framework is not enough; you need the mindset of a professional developer to solve performance problems at real scale. Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent relational databases is essential, as well as Redis or similar technologies for caching. It is important that you have had some exposure to non-relational databases like MongoDB. Advanced knowledge of AWS would be a plus. Solid experience in consuming REST APIs and webhooks is required.

Architecture and Infrastructure

The professional must have real-world experience with microservices, asynchronous messaging (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar), and understand the full deployment cycle, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. You don't need to be a DevOps engineer, but you must be able to operate in this environment.

Frontend

Mastery of Angular for administrative interfaces and dashboards. The platform has a complex UI, massive catalog management, orders, and dynamic pricing, so the candidate must have a sense of componentization and functional UX, not just know how to "write Angular."

Security and Applications

Knowledge of static code analysis tools (Sonar/SAST) and authentication flows (OAuth2/PKCE).

Quality and Observability

Experience with real-time monitoring (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, or similar) and performance analysis in production is expected.

AI First

Beyond just using AI tools, here we incorporate artificial intelligence as a natural part of your workflow, from code generation and review to log analysis, automation of repetitive tasks, and SDD (spec-driven development). In our context, this translates to the ability to contribute to and evolve features that already use AI (title enrichment, intelligent publishing, predictive cancellation risk) and to anticipate where AI can reduce manual operations or improve the seller experience.

BEHAVIORAL PROFILE

Orientation to impact, not tasks

This professional needs to understand that every technical decision has a direct consequence for sellers who depend on the system to generate revenue. This requires maturity to prioritize, reject unnecessary complexity, and deliver value incrementally.

Autonomy with collaboration

Be a technical reference for the team, review code, propose architecture, and help others grow. However, excessive autonomy that creates knowledge silos is counter-cultural. DB1 has a strong culture of best practices and collective engagement.

Adaptability and continuous learning

The marketplace domain evolves rapidly (new channels, new fulfillment models, AI applied to catalogs). The professional must have a genuine willingness to dive deep into business contexts they are unfamiliar with.

Clear technical communication

Since we work on a product that integrates ERPs, platforms, marketplaces, and support teams, it is necessary to interact with non-technical people (product team, support, partner clients). The ability to translate technical problems into business language is a real differentiator, not just desirable.
