Hybrid Environments Infrastructure and Cloud Manager

About the Position

Canadian financial services group with over 6,000 employees and regulated operations across all provinces. The company maintains a complex hybrid environment, with two proprietary data centers in the Toronto region and critical workloads on the public cloud.

We are seeking an Infrastructure and Cloud Manager to lead a team of 14 professionals across infrastructure, networking, and operations. The core objective of this role is to ensure availability, security, and cost predictability of the environment, while simultaneously driving the cloud modernization program.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Infrastructure, Networking, and Operations team, including on-call scheduling and succession planning
• Be accountable for the availability and performance of proprietary data centers and the Azure environment
• Drive the roadmap for modernization and migration of workloads to the cloud
• Manage the annual infrastructure budget, vendor contracts, and license renewals
• Maintain and periodically test business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal and external audits
• Define and monitor service metrics (availability, MTTR, SLA compliance)
• Serve as the executive escalation point for critical incidents

Requirements

• Proven experience managing IT infrastructure teams
• Expertise in virtualization within VMware or Nutanix environments
• Solid knowledge of corporate networking and perimeter security (Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalents)
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments
• Administration of Linux environments at corporate scale
• Experience with budget management and negotiation with technology vendors
• Intermediate French for interaction with Quebec units
• Availability for on-site work in Toronto and travel between data centers in the region

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes and enterprise container platforms
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and provisioning automation
• Certification or practical experience with ITIL v4
• Prior experience in regulated sectors, such as financial services or insurance
