Software Engineer (Evangelist)

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer with solid experience in software development to join our Center of Engineering Excellence (COE).

The COE is responsible for developing, evolving, and managing applications, tools, and frameworks that support development teams, as well as contributing to the definition and dissemination of engineering standards and best practices across the organization.

We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise in software development who also possesses an evangelist and multiplier mindset, with the ability to disseminate knowledge, mentor other professionals, and promote the adoption of best practices and engineering standards.

This individual will work closely with development teams, supporting the adoption of COE solutions and standards, sharing knowledge, and contributing to the evolution of the organization's engineering culture.

Responsibilities

● Develop, evolve, and maintain applications, tools, and frameworks used by the COE and development teams.

● Develop and maintain applications and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.

● Contribute to the definition, evolution, and dissemination of software engineering standards and best practices.

● Work closely with development teams to support the adoption of standards, tools, and solutions provided by the COE.

● Provide technical support to teams in resolving issues related to tools, standards, and engineering practices.

● Share technical knowledge through workshops, presentations, training sessions, and other knowledge-sharing formats.

● Support the technical onboarding of new developers by introducing them to the tools, frameworks, standards, and practices adopted by the organization.

● Contribute to the creation and updating of documentation, guides, and technical materials.

● Identify opportunities for improvement in engineering practices and propose solutions that can be scaled across teams.

● Promote knowledge exchange and strengthen the engineering culture across different development teams.

● Monitor the adoption of COE practices and solutions, identifying opportunities for improvement.

● Evaluate and share new technologies, practices, and approaches relevant to software engineering.

Requirements

● Solid professional experience in Software Engineering and application development.

● Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

● Experience in developing and maintaining applications and APIs.

● Solid knowledge of software engineering practices and standards.

● Experience or knowledge of Azure DevOps and Kubernetes.

● Ability to understand different aspects of the software development and delivery lifecycle.

● Strong communication skills and ease in sharing technical knowledge with diverse audiences.

● Ability to lead presentations, workshops, or technical training sessions.

● Ease in translating complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

● Collaborative mindset, with ease in working alongside diverse development teams.

● Interest in disseminating best practices, standards, and technical knowledge at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

● Previous experience as a technical reference, mentor, or multiplier within engineering teams.

● Experience with technical communities, workshops, or training programs.

● Experience in defining or disseminating engineering standards.

● Knowledge of AI applied to software engineering.

● Experience with tools and platforms focused on developer productivity.

● Experience in software engineering environments at scale.
