DevOps Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer with solid experience in software development to join our Center of Engineering Excellence (COE).

The COE is responsible for developing, evolving, and managing applications, tools, and frameworks that support development teams, as well as contributing to the definition and dissemination of engineering standards and best practices across the organization.

We are looking for someone with strong software development experience who also possesses knowledge and experience in DevOps, automation, pipelines, and cloud environments as a plus. Technical curiosity, the ability to investigate problems in depth, and an interest in building solutions that can be adopted and scaled by different teams across the organization are essential.

The role requires the ability to navigate between application development, pipelines, engineering tools, and cloud environments, understanding how these different components integrate to support technical decisions and the evolution of engineering standards.

Responsibilities

● Develop, evolve, and maintain applications, tools, and frameworks used by the COE and development teams.

● Develop and maintain applications and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.

● Contribute to the definition, evolution, and implementation of software engineering standards and best practices.

● Develop automation solutions that increase the quality, productivity, and reliability of development processes.

● Work on the evolution and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and processes.

● Investigate and resolve technical issues related to applications, tools, pipelines, and environments used by teams.

● Work with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and tools related to the software development and delivery lifecycle.

● Contribute to the evolution of COE tools and solutions, considering scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

● Provide technical support to development teams in the adoption of solutions, tools, and standards defined by the COE.

● Monitor the operation and sustainability of solutions developed by the team, acting on the identification and resolution of issues.

● Evaluate technologies and approaches that can contribute to the evolution of software engineering within the organization.

Requirements

● Solid professional experience in Software Engineering and application development.

● Experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

● Experience in developing and maintaining applications and APIs.

● Knowledge of software engineering practices and standards.

● Experience or knowledge in CI/CD and Azure DevOps.

● Experience or knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes.

● Knowledge of cloud environments, especially AWS/EKS.

● Knowledge of automation and tools related to the software development and delivery lifecycle.

● Ability to investigate technical issues in depth, identifying root causes.

● Ability to understand the integration between development, pipelines, cloud, and other tools in the engineering ecosystem.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience with Helm.

● Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging.

● Experience in creating internal tools for developers.

● Experience in software engineering environments at scale.

● Experience in defining or disseminating engineering standards.
