Mid-Level RPA Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a RPA Backend Developer Mid-level with Python experience to work on developing and evolving the automations used by the company.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining robots that interact with external portals, including utility company environments that may require authentication, MFA, cookie manipulation, and other navigation quirks.

In addition to browser automation, the role involves file and data processing, API integration, running applications in Docker environments, and maintaining existing automations.

The work involves real automation challenges, such as dealing with unstable pages, changes in third-party portals, processing large volumes of files, and different strategies for obtaining and handling data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automations and robots using Python;
• Develop browser automation and web scraping on external portals;
• Work with authenticated portals, login flows, MFA, cookies, sessions, and tokens;
• Create and maintain applications and robots running in Docker environments;
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and processing;
• Work with Excel, CSV, and other file formats used in automated processes;
• Integrate automations with APIs and external services;
• Investigate failures and changes in third-party portals that may impact automations;
• Evolve existing automations to improve stability, performance, and maintainability;
• Collaborate with the team to understand business processes and define the best automation strategies;
• Develop solutions considering information security best practices and LGPD.

Requirements:

• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Belo Horizonte/MG, with office presence 3 times per week;
• Experience with backend development and/or automation using Python;
• Experience with Docker;
• Experience with browser automation and web scraping;
• Knowledge of Selenium and/or Playwright;
• Experience with data manipulation and processing using Pandas;
• Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet manipulation using OpenPyXL or equivalent libraries;
• Knowledge of regular expressions (Regex);
• Knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, cookies, headers, sessions, tokens, and authentication flows;
• Familiarity with Git and code versioning;
• Ability to investigate issues and adapt automations in response to changes in third-party systems and portals.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience or knowledge in the following will be considered a plus:

• Pyppeteer;
• Google API Python Client and integration with Google services;
• Nuitka for compiling and distributing Python applications;
• Tkinter for desktop interface development;
• Native Python libraries, such as os, shutil, pathlib, and contextlib;
• Concurrent programming and use of threads in Python;
• Advanced manipulation of files, directories, and operating system processes;
• Advanced automation strategies involving interception of requests, cookies, and sessions;
• Experience with automations running in containers and Linux environments;
• Knowledge of C#/.NET, Node.js, or TypeScript.

Work model and location:

The position is hybrid, with in-person work at the office in Belo Horizonte/MG, 3 times per week, and 2 days working from home.
