Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role requires a seasoned technologist who can navigate ambiguity, drive technical decisions independently, and contribute to both our infrastructure and data systems.

Core Technical Requirements

Strong JavaScript proficiency for building interactive front-end applications

Deep understanding of relational data modeling and database design principles

Intuitive UX/UI design sense with focus on usability and user workflows

Ability to translate business requirements into well-structured data models

Key Competencies

Autonomous work style with ability to scope, prioritize, and execute on technical initiatives with minimal direction

Quick learner who can effectively shadow and knowledge-transfer

Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and priorities Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar across teams

Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders

Additional Desired Skills

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP)

Python proficiency

Infrastructure as Code experience

Bonus Qualifications

Familiarity with low-code platforms such as Retool for rapid application

development

Experience working with AI agents and LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for

automation and productivity enhancement
