Senior PHP Laravel Back-End Developer

Akquinet is a German technology company with a global presence. With 14 years of operations in Brazil, we specialize in developing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions and providing specialized consulting services.

We are seeking a Senior PHP Laravel Developer to work on the development and evolution of a B2B SaaS solution targeted at large enterprises.

This professional will have a hands-on role in product development, participating in technical decisions related to architecture, scalability, performance, security, and the continuous evolution of the platform.

We are looking for someone with practical, professional experience in developing SaaS solutions. Academic initiatives, individual studies, or personal projects without application in a corporate or production environment will not be considered as primary experience.

The work model is remote, with an annual in-person visit to the company headquarters in Caxias do Sul – RS. The first two weeks may be on-site for training, team integration, and product understanding. All expenses related to these on-site periods will be covered by the company.

Responsibilities

• Work on the development of a B2B SaaS solution.
• Develop new features primarily using PHP Laravel.
• Participate in the evolution of the product's technical architecture.
• Support technical decisions related to scalability, maintenance, and platform evolution.
• Contribute to defining and adopting development best practices.
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and maintainability of the application.
• Collaborate with product, business, and implementation teams to transform customer needs into technical solutions.
• Engage occasionally with customers to clarify technical questions, evaluate improvements, analyze incidents, and support identifying solutions aligned with business needs.
• Support technical analyses, fixes, improvements, and the continuous evolution of the platform.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Practical, professional experience with architecture and development of SaaS solutions.
• Experience developing web applications in a corporate or production environment.
• Ability to contribute to architecture decisions, development standards, and the product's technical evolution.
• Knowledge of relational databases and modeling best practices.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and web application security.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team.
• Intermediate English proficiency for reading and writing.

Desirable (Plus)

• Experience with B2B solutions for medium or large enterprises.
• Knowledge of Angular.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure.
• Experience in web application performance improvement projects.
• Experience with practices, analyses, or fixes related to SaaS application security.
• Knowledge of scalable architecture, queues, caching, observability, logging, and monitoring.
