Senior Java Backend Software Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Software Engineer to work on building and evolving robust, scalable, and secure solutions on a high-impact platform.

You will be responsible for implementing key technical solutions, working on integration between services, and applying development best practices.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement scalable and high-performance solutions in Java (preferably Java 11+);
• Contribute to architecture decisions and design patterns;
• Develop RESTful APIs and distributed services with a focus on performance, security, and traceability;
• Work on integration between internal and external systems via APIs, files, messaging, and orchestrated flows;
• Ensure code quality through automated testing (unit, integration, contract tests);
• Participate in technical refinements and architecture discussions;
• Provide technical support to junior and mid-level developers;
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and Support teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Java backend development;
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes;
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design best practices;
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL);
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions);
• Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, contract tests);
• Strong communication skills, proactivity, and ability to work in collaborative environments.

DIFFERENTIATORS

• Experience in the insurance or benefits management sector;
• Familiarity with observability and logging tools such as Grafana and Elasticsearch;
• Knowledge of Apache NiFi for data flow orchestration and integration;
• Experience with OpenAPI / Swagger, contract testing, and technical documentation;
• Previous experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure);
• Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
