Senior Data Engineer

Itatiaia is one of the largest furniture and home appliance manufacturers in Brazil. With over 60 years of history, the company is a national reference in kitchens, steel furniture, and home products, combining tradition, innovation, and quality.

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to serve as the first member of our Data Engineering team, working directly with technical leadership and strategic business areas. This is a high-impact position offering significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape the evolution of the company's data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using a Lakehouse/Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold).
• Build transformations using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Integrate data from various corporate sources, including SAP and SharePoint.
• Ensure data quality, observability, governance, and security.
• Model data for analytical consumption in Power BI.
• Evolve CI/CD processes and engineering best practices.
• Work directly with business units to gather requirements and translate business rules into data solutions.
• Support the definition of data architecture and contribute to the future expansion of the team.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Data Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience with Lakehouse/Medallion architectures and Delta Lake (or equivalent technologies).
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience orchestrating data pipelines.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling for analytics.
• Experience with Data Quality, observability, and data governance.
• Familiarity with Git, Code Review, and CI/CD processes.
• English proficiency for reading technical documentation.

Differentials

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of SAP integrations.
• Experience with REST/OData APIs.
• Microsoft certifications related to Data Engineering.
• Experience in retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods environments.
